The general idea of Redox Reactions:
Moving electrons around, which means that the charge of the atoms involved will change
Electrons are removed from the original atom/molecule
Electrons are added to level out the charge to become neutral, essential the opposite of oxidation
Oxidation and Reduction Reactions DO NOT happen on their own, as the electron can’t live alone.
This means that we have to have another reaction at the same time to catch those electrons.
Performing an Oxidation reaction, where the electrons are used for a reduction reaction.
This means that you need an EQUAL amount of electrons for the reactions to go through as intended AKA you have to BALANCE it.
